The Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail, (LHHT), is a 70-mile scenic, backpacking and hiking trail that stretches through wilderness along the Laurel Mountain range from the Youghiogheny River at Ohiopyle to the Conemaugh Gorge near Johnstown, PA. The Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail is open year-round and the trail features eight overnight trail shelters every 6 to 12 miles that must be reserved in advance.
